Contingency Plan
Contingency Plan – Jack Morton
Possible Problems:
How to overcome them:
Weather may not suit the setting of the film.
Reschedule the date and look at the forecast to look for a day with weather that suits the film.
Actors are unavailable due to illness or other reasons.
Use the same actor for different roles. Fortunately, with my film there are only 2 actors required so the likeliness of this being a problem is slim.
Equipment may become damaged.
See if it is repairable. If not, ask to borrow another camera from a different student. If none are available, use mobile phone.
May not be able to use the “Knife” prop outdoors.
Could use an item that is open to be used in public like a bottle. Possibly don’t need weapon but may make the character look less threatening.
The locations we set to film in may be in use or may not have been permitted by the council.
Go to a different public area in which I am allowed to film or could use someone's garden if it is of size.
Filming could overrun the dates that were set.
Go back to film on the retakes day which gives me the chance to add sections in/refilm parts if missed out.
May not have permission to film in my required location.
Find a different place to film that is similar to the area like a garden or school fields.
I have made a contingency plan so that if anything was to go wrong or not to plan, i would have an alternative plan in place. This is required as things can go wrong unexpectedly when planning for a film.
